Within the framework of charitable and community-support initiatives, and on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan, a project to distribute humanitarian assistance to dormitory students was carried out under the supervision and attendance of Dr. Diyar A. Saeed, President of the University of Zakho, along with the President’s assistants on February 23, 2026.

The initiative was organized by Cihan Group / Food and Non-Food Supplies Department, owned by Haji Sabah Y. Saeed, during which more than 500 dry-food baskets were distributed. The assistance targeted dormitory students at the University of Zakho, aiming to support them within the framework of humanitarian and community-oriented efforts.

During the event, the President of the University of Zakho expressed his appreciation for this humanitarian step taken by Cihan Group, emphasizing that such initiatives reflect a strong sense of social responsibility toward students, particularly during sacred religious seasons.

For their part, the dormitory students expressed their gratitude for the initiative and thanked Cihan Group for its continued support and care in serving the community.
